THE DECISION
What: The FIFA executive committee will meet tomorrow to vote for the host of the World Cup in 2018 and 2022.
Who: The 2018 tournament will go to a European nation while the candidates for 2022 are Australia, US, Japan, Korea and Qatar.
How: Each vote will happen via secret ballot with the winning bidder needing to obtain an 'absolute majority', meaning 50 per cent plus one of the committee members. In the event of no team reaching that target a run-off will be held with the lowest vote-getter eliminated from the ballot. Each nation makes a 30-minute presentation to the committee today.
Watch: FIFA will announce the winning bids early on Friday morning. SBS One and Fox Sports News will broadcast the announcement at 2am Melbourne time.
