Beximco unveils: World's Largest Cricket Bat

Beximco, one of the leading corporate houses in Bangladesh, Saturday formally unveiled the world’s largest cricket bat containing good wishes and grand success for Bangladesh National Cricket Team for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup. A H M Mostafa Kamal, MP, President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) unveiled the largest bat as chief guest at Zia Colony at Dhaka Cantonment.


Shayan F Rahman, Director of Beximco Group, Brig Gen Tanvir Hasan Majumdar, Station Commander, Brig Gen Sabbir Ahmed, Manzur Ahmed, CEO of BCB, Intekhab Mahmud, Executive Director of Beximco Media Limited and other high officials of Beximco were present during the ceremony.


A H M Mostafa Kamal said that he is proud to be a part of the occasion and expressed his wholehearted gratitude to Beximco for their contribution in the country’s sports arena.

Shayan F Rahman said, “Beximco always wants to do something different and special. This is one of the examples of their work. Beximco is committed to do its best to encourage the Bangladesh National Cricket Team for World Cup. This is the sample of the passion of our nation for cricket.”

He also said that the aim of our conducting ‘Wish Campaign’ across the country is to generate more cricket hype and enthusiasm among the people of the country and unite them to a single platform.

Shayan Rahman added that we thanked to ICC along with BCB for giving us opportunity to be a part of the showcase cricket event.


Beximco, the official sponsor of Bangladesh National Cricket Team, made the world’s largest bat. This bat is 111 feet in height and 12.6 feet in width which has been installed at Zia Colony, Dhaka. The bat is made of wood and plywood, iron pipe and angle and fibre. Kanikor, a designer firm, designed the bat under the supervision of Beximco. A total of 40 people made the bat in 15 days.



This bat is now the world’s largest cricket bat which has broken the record of India’s 100 feet long bat placed at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.
